BEATING SUSPECT QUICKLY CAUGHT BY AUTHORITIES

The Ormoc City Police Station 1 immediately arrested one of the suspects in the beating incident that happened in Ormoc Plaza last night, October 20, 2023.

The arrested person was identified as Romeo Nuevo, 29, grade 11, from Brgy. Ipil, Ormoc City, while the two victims are minors.

According to Police Captain Ramil Caldona, chief of PS1, a group fight was the cause of the beating.

Nuevo is the founder of the wardogs/bloods group while one of the victims is the founder of the transfight group.

According to Caldona, a member of the wardogs was beaten by a member of the transfight in Ipil.

In retaliation, the members of the wardogs searched for the one who beat up their member.

After the incident, the police quickly searched for the suspects and after 10 o'clock, Nuevo was arrested and will be facing charges.

Caldona also revealed that Nuevo had a previous robbery case.

The search is on for other suspects who are said to be hiding. Authorities will also call the parents of the members of that group to the school.
